Collection 241, a unique and fascinating chapter in Maison Louis Roederer’s world of taste. The 2016 harvest was characterized by ideal weather conditions that contributed to the excellent quality of the grapes. After a cool and wet spring, followed by a dry and hot summer, the harvest took place from September 15 to October 1, 2016, ensuring perfect ripening of the berries.

Origins

• Vineyards: 1/3 “Rivière” vineyard, 1/3 “Montagne” vineyard, 1/3 “Côte” vineyard.
• Sources: Grapes from both estate vineyards and selected “Cœur de Terroir” plots at partner winemakers.

Tasting Notes

Collection 241 is distinguished by the intensity of Pinot Noirs from the Montagne de Reims, which in 2016 shone with a bouquet of yellow, tart fruits accompanied by light toasted, saline and iodine notes. On the palate, the structure has a strong identity: round, juicy, and with a chalky, mineral and saline freshness. The result is a clean, fine, harmonious and fresh whole.
