2015 vintage
2015 was an extraordinary year, especially considering the recognition of Champagne as a UNESCO World Heritage Site! Weather conditions marked a continental trend over the decade, with a mild, wet winter followed by a hot, dry summer. Despite the drought, a saving rain in late August helped the grapes ripen, producing juicy, ripe and concentrated fruit. The goal of this vintage is to capture the essence of a spectacular vintage!
Tasting Notes
- Color: Pink with bright, fresh highlights.
- Effervescence: Generous and slow.
- Bouquet: Intense Pinot noir blending delicate citrus (Etna blood orange), red fruits (currants) and spices (a hint of camphor). With aeration, red fruits combine with honey notes reminiscent of gingerbread.
- Palate: Enveloping, juicy, concentrated and fruity. Masterfully sensual balance thanks to the dense structure that perfectly balances zero dosage. Slightly spicy (camphor), smoky, and iodine notes introduce a feeling of Umami.
